When PSV Eindhoven took on PEC Zwolle on Friday the 19th of January, the former was largely expected to run out the victor.
Zwolle were lying 14th in the table, whilst PSV were completely at the other end of the spectrum, sitting pretty in 1st.
But what started as a bad night for the home side turned even more sour, as erratic defender Erik Pieters took it upon himself to go lunging into a tackle he was realistically never going to win.
This ill-timed tackle resulted in a red card. The Zwolle player looked to have milked the situation slightly, and the tackle was a poor one, although it most certainly did not merit a red card.
Pieters then saw red (ironically enough) as he was given his marching orders. In the midst of his rage, he made it his liberty to leave a mark on a glass window just inside the tunnel of the Philips Stadion.
Watch this moment of madness from the Dutchman as he loses his cool.
