Nene Scraps It Out In Qatar

Former PSG star Nene has only been in Qatar for a short while, but he is already leaving skid marks on his new stomping ground as a video has surfaced of him getting involved in a needless brawl with an opposing player right at the death of a cup match against Al-Arabi.

After receiving a second booking for a clumsy and ill-timed challenge 94 minutes into the game the 31 year old flipped, lost his rag, and embroiled himself in a simply bizarre scuffle with Al-Arabi midfielder Houssine Kharja.

The scenes that followed were nothing short of chaotic. It even looked as if 2 Ku Klux Klan members made their way onto the pitch amidst all the madness, but you can interpret the white tunics in whatever way you want.

I think it’s safe to say the players in question will be handed subsequent bans, and who knows. Maybe Nene’s short lived tenure at Al-Gharafa could well be over. Joey Barton’s antics at the rear end of last season proved to be the end of his reign at QPR, for now anyway. Maybe the Brazilian winger’s fate will be of a similar nature.

Watch all the chaos ensue the booking right here.

Ibra Scores A Panenka, Beckham Gets Trolled, Silva Nearly Breaks His Leg. All In A Day’s Work

We love you…

We love you not

PSG’s thrilling Ligue 1 encounter with Saint-Étienne ended with both sides taking a point each, the two French outfits sharing 4 goals between them in the process. Gabonese speedster Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang continued his ascent to stardom with a dazzling display, wreaking havoc with his blistering pace down PSG’s left-hand side, giving Maxwell a difficult task for the best part of 90 minutes.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a name the scoreboard seems to be quite familiar with nowadays, was involved in both of the Parisian side’s two goals, assisting Argentine Javier Pastore and scoring a cheeky Panenka penalty in the process. The towering Swede was made take his penalty twice, as one of his team mates was deemed to be encroaching whilst Ibra stepped up to take his first penalty. But that didn’t deter the flamboyant attacker’s confidence, and he sleekly dinked in the cheekiest of panenkas as cool as a cucumber.

David Beckham didn’t look overly-impressive on the night, but given that it’s his first European league start in 3 years, one could let slide his average performance.

A heated exchange

Although he didn’t seem to get any boos or insults in his direction verbally by the home crowd, he did however get trolled by the Green army.

Thiago Silva almost managed to break his leg amongst all the other things happening, with on-loan striker Brandao (Property of Marseille) made an excruciatingly bad challenge on the Brazilian sweeper, almost snapping the PSG man’s leg in doing so.

Audacious Pass From Francesco Totti

Roma and Italy legend Francesco Totti is widely known as a hero wherever he goes. The 36 year old has plied his trade with his boyhood club for the best part of 20-odd years, and he has many memorable moment in the red shirt.

On Sunday in a Serie A tie against Parma, the veteran pulled off a sumptuous spinning-backheel pass which must have had all those watching in awe.

Some things get better with age, such as wine. Francesco Totti seems to back up this statement in his own right.

Check out the ridiculous pass here.
